Why the event deserves its own system

A useful seminar does not begin at the venue door or end when the speaker leaves. Guests need a reliable place to find confirmed details, reserve a seat and return for approved photos or materials. Organizers need to manage capacity, invitations, check-in and follow-up without losing the connection between those stages. I built Nzitsa Events around that full lifecycle. It is fully functional and is being used for Nzitsa's first seminar on 21 November 2026.

The product workflow

The public event catalogue lists only published events. Behind it, the application models verified reservations, private ticket links, waitlist ordering, cancellations and one-time QR check-in, with a roster-search fallback for staff. Owner and check-in roles are separate. Gallery images and presentation files stay hidden until an owner approves or publishes them, and a removal path exists for photos.

The survey work addresses a specific analytical problem: an arrival survey and an after-event survey are useful only when the responses can be compared for the same person. An owner advances the round; a guest can submit once per round through a private ticket. The results distinguish all respondents from paired respondents and show which answers changed. That is more informative than comparing two unrelated response totals.

In use for the first seminar

The public catalogue lists Artificial Intelligence for All Zambians, a beginner-friendly seminar scheduled for 21 November 2026. Its event page carries current public details and registration instructions. The platform is in use for this event, including the organizer and guest workflows described above. Free tickets are the current product scope; payment-backed registration through Nzitsa Pay is a later integration. Guest identities and survey answers remain private.

The guest journey

Public pages show confirmed, published events. The registration design covers verified email, private tickets, capacity, waitlist offers and one-time venue check-in.

Organizer control

Owners and staff have distinct permissions for publishing, check-in, galleries, materials and survey results. Photos and files become public only after explicit approval.

How answers changed

The survey design lets the same eligible guest answer on arrival and after an event. Paired analysis compares those two rounds instead of mixing unrelated respondents.

Release boundary

The platform is being used for Nzitsa's first seminar on 21 November 2026. The public event page is the source for current venue, registration and attendance instructions. Paid ticketing through Nzitsa Pay is a future integration.
